Maestranza

This work in the Bull Ring of Seville, consists of photographs which are a part of a project undertaken in 2001 titled the Real Maestranza de Caballeria of Seville. The spring festivals of Seville change the Maestranza into one of the most important bull fight events. Many visitors join the Seville citizens to attend these bull fights.

These photographs capture the interior world of the bullring, background scenarios and situations at the bullfights, but are not actually a part of them. This group of images wants to show the people who work inside the bullring and also those who come to enjoy the spectacle.

The project shows certain trades and crafts, which pertain to a world very proud of its art that belongs to the past as well as to the present.
