These images were created by women from Dar Al Hekma College in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The images were all taken as part of documentary projects in which they were asked to spend several weeks working on a project that interested them. Photographing for the women in Saudi Arabia is often very challenging because the culture is not very comfortable with photography or seeing women in many of the places they choose to photograph. The women were all extremely brave and often pursued the projects, much to the dismay of their families. To their surprise, these women were all well received by the people they were photographing, and became more confident in their pursuits with every roll they shot.
